據(jù)Love的輔導(dǎo)員老師Denise James回憶，Love是個愛看書的姑娘，同時(shí)還能保持很好的GPA。此外，她還有很高的繪畫天賦。
在家里，Love排行老大，她還有4個9歲至15歲的弟弟妹妹。她的父母Anthony Love和Yolanda Love十幾歲的時(shí)候就生下了她。
“I was nervous when her dad and I had her at the young ages of 15 and 17 and I was frightened when she was viciously attacked by a dog as a 2-year-old and survived,” said Yolanda, who gave birth to her daughter six weeks prematurely. Antoinette weighed only 4.4 pounds when she was born.
“我當(dāng)時(shí)很緊張，因?yàn)樗母赣H和我在我們15歲和17歲的時(shí)候懷了她。在她兩歲的時(shí)候被一條狗襲擊時(shí)，我很害怕，但她還是活了下來，”Love的母親Yolanda說道，她生下Love時(shí)，比預(yù)產(chǎn)期提前了6周。而她出生時(shí)只有4.4磅（2千克）。

Yolanda說，Love作為家里最大的孩子，她克服逆境的經(jīng)歷給弟弟妹妹們樹立了榜樣。
而Love給其他高中生關(guān)于申請學(xué)校的建議就是不停地申請。
“This really is a dream came true,” she said. “All my hours of studying, writing and classes have paid off in the best possible way, and I can’t wait to move forward and start my college education.”
“這真的是夢想成真，”Love說。“我所有花在學(xué)習(xí)、寫作、和課堂上的時(shí)間都得到了最好的回報(bào)，我等不及向前一步開始我的大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)。”
